G-BEC helps its client (ACME) eliminate Walmart’s charge-backs

Business Problem/Opportunity:
ACME had a consistent large amount of charge-backs from Walmart due to inaccurate shipments of products. The inaccuracies were mostly due to human error while packing, picking and shipping the products. Examples of these errors were having the wrong product shipped, un-labeled product or labeled products with labels that do not match the actual shipped product.


Solution:
G-BEC worked with (ACME) to design and implement a data collection solution to reduce or totally eliminate the chance of human error for all shipments. The solution involved scanning of the product (UPC) during packing together with the box label. Also at shipping the scanning of the box label and the shipping label guarantees that item in the box matches the shipping label’s barcode sent via EDI to Walmart. Gabra supported the roll-out of the solution to 4 other Client facilities.

G-BEC was involved mainly in Project Management capacity but also helped in the Application Development.
